Hi, I'm Evelina.

Welcome to my portfolio website!

I am an enthusiastic, creatively driven and innovative graduate graphic designer with an unquenchable thirst to learn and develop obtained skills continuously. Experienced in editorial, branding, print, digital and experiential graphic design.

I truly believe that elevated experiences can inspire positive transformations for communities, individuals, and organizations.

As a professional creative, I work in close dialogue with the clients and project partners on unique, attractive and innovative solutions. Starting with the first ideas, sketches and storyboards, continuing on with the design and production of the media up until the implementation

on site.

The design process ensures that value is optimised throughout the development process.

The use of strategic planning and feedback results aligned and delivered product that reflects the desired needs of a client. It easily adapts to changing requirements throughout the process by measuring and evaluating the status of a project. The measuring and evaluating allows accurate and early visibility into the progress of each project.

My childhood has been active and diverse - I started looking for my passion starting age of 12: tried drawing, craft, cooking classes, guitar lessons, dancing, singing, film making, wood carving. However, nothing satisfied me more than art. I could spend countless hours on one piece and feel even more “hungry” to do more. In 2010 I decided to follow my passion and build that as a career, changed my local school to Klaipeda Eduardas Balsys Gymnasium of Arts where I been taught academic arts, crafts, and design. After graduation, in 2013, I knew that I want to continue studies and become a designer, just did not know which field yet to focus. In 2016, I have started studying at the University of Northampton BA Graphic Communications and graduated in 2020. Through all those years I have been practicing wide diversity of graphic designs - from editorial, packaging, web, motion, etc.. however one field I found that I enjoy the most - supergraphics, installations designs, hence I switched all my focus to experiential graphic design.

The story behind The Deziigner name

Since the age of 16, I have imagined myself as a designer. Back then, as a future designer, of course. Over my professional career, people been calling me like it even though I was not a designer (it was because I was doing a lot of creative projects - as a freelance, pro bono, volunteering, or within the companies I worked on), hence I stuck with it.

Why The Deziigner, not The Designer?

"The" stands for an individual. "Deziigner" stands for a designer. However, this odd way of spelling represents the ability to think differently and be creatively brave and open structure in the design of the logo represents the ability to think outside the box.

FEEDBACK

I met Evelina Ulickaite in January 2017, she was a newcomer in the company still in her probation period. Since then I was her leader, and her coach, until April 2020. Besides sharing the same e-commerce team, we also worked on several projects together like the Kangaroo Team, a project to improve the company's internal communication.

During these past three years, Evelina was a part-time worker alongside her studies. Her passion for design and communication was quickly expressed by her. Spending a few hours per week at Decathlon, her contributions were always at a high standard. Capacity to be creative and her team spirit were really good, but what stood out to me was her outstanding level of responsibility.

I have had the pleasure to recruit and work with over 200 employees, and if I had to choose my top 5 team members I would have to choose Evelina.

During these past three years, Evelina was an example for her team members. Having a part-time job, and studying a very demanding university course, didn’t stop her from participating in major projects like being responsible for the internal design of our new Distribution Center in Northampton. After an outstanding contribution, she decided to help Crawley store to improve the design of the store.

I consider Evelina as a very good example of development within the company, by sharing her passion. I believe her development will still grow more and I’m sure whichever career path she decides to pursue, she will do with creativity, responsibility and with outstanding care for others. The selfless part of her character has been very inspiring to know and I believe has been a key element in building the Kangaroo team and it’s identity.
